While The Education Foundation of Putnam County, Inc. was founded, and continues, to assist early education programs, we also support more diverse programs and initiatives.
Since not every student will attend college, The Education Foundation of Putnam County, Inc. has begun to fund vocational and technical programs which will give the next generation of skilled workers a head start in the job market.
 
Our young farmers and ranchers who keep alive the farming heritage of Putnam County are also recipients of our support.
 
We have not forgotten our teachers and the critical role they play in our children’s lives. The Education Foundation of Putnam County, Inc. is pleased to sponsor programs that not only benefit our students but provide valuable help to our wonderful teachers.

Greetings, and welcome to our webpage.

These are exciting times for Putnam County and The Education Foundation of Putnam County, Inc. Until recently, we were known as Lift Putnam but are now known as The Education Foundation of Putnam County, Inc. We are, in almost every aspect, a new organization. As our name reflects, we are a 501 (c)(3) corporation that focuses solely on education programs and initiatives that benefit Putnam County students. The Putnam County School District has designated us as our county’s education foundation. We are also Putnam County’s designated member of the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations. This designation allows us to receive matching funds from the State of Florida.

 

While we intend to stay based in early education because it is critical to a child’s future academic success, we now can seek out new, more diverse missions and initiatives. For instance, our Foundation looks forward to funding vocational/technical programs and initiatives that prepare students for the “real world.” We have not forgotten our excellent teachers and look forward to awarding classroom grants that will benefit our students and teachers.

 

While we often work hand-in-hand with the School District, we are an independent education foundation governed by our board of directors and bylaws. We decide which programs and initiatives we want to fund. Our funds come from corporate and individual donations, along with grants. We need more sponsors and donors. You will see us in the community, and I hope you will join us.

 

We have exceptional children in Putnam County who deserve the best education possible. Please help us to help them reach their potential. By our action or inaction, their futures may well be decided.
